Elena Postnova
Elena Postnova embarked on her violin journey at the tender age of 6. In 1993, she achieved a remarkable milestone by earning a gold medal upon graduating from the Tashkent State Conservatory.
Concurrently, she served as the concertmaster of the Tashkent State Conservatory’s Chamber Orchestra.
Her professional career commenced in 1989 when she joined the Tashkent State Conservatory Opera Studio. By 1991, she was invited to assume the role of a violinist in the Tashkent Philharmonic Orchestra and the “Soloists of Uzbekistan” chamber orchestra.
In 1993, Elena Postnova relocated to Ankara, Turkey, to take on the roles of a violin teacher and a member of the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra and Bilkent Chamber Orchestra at Bilkent University.
Two years later, she earned her second master’s degree, and in 1997, she proudly graduated from Bilkent University with a Ph.D. in Music Arts and Violin. During this time, she also excelled as a concertmaster and soloist in various symphonic and chamber music projects.
Since 1993, Elena has been nurturing aspiring violinists as a dedicated teacher at Bilkent University. Her students have made notable achievements by participating in various international violin competitions and delivering solo performances alongside prominent symphony orchestras in Turkey, Europe, and Russia.
Presently, Elena Postnova continues her passionate pursuit of music as a violinist and serves as the coordinator of the violin section at the Faculty of Music and Performing Arts at Bilkent University in Ankara.
