Marlin Derkach

My name is Marlin,  My musical journey began at the age of 13 when I started playing an old accordion that belonged to my parents. I soon began taking piano lessons, focusing on classical music, and had the opportunity to perform on big stages every year. Additionally, I played in church and taught children how to sing. I also led choirs and prepared them for competitions; in 2000, we won first place!

After moving to Armenia, I studied Musicology at Romanos Melikyan Music College. For my entrance exam, I played Beethoven’s “Pathetique” and Bach’s “Prelude and Fugue in C minor.” Following my graduation, I became a jazz vocal student at the conservatory.

I spent five years at Studio 7 collaborating with professional music managers, working on Farsi and Armenian songs. This experience significantly contributed to my musical education.

Currently, I perform as a singer and pianist and offer vocal and piano lessons.
