Maryam Soroushnasab, born in 1971 in Tabriz, Iran, initiated her artistic journey in 1992 by mastering the Setar and Tar instruments. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in music from the Faculty of Music at Tehran University in 2005. Maryam holds qualifications as a Tar and Setar player and teacher and an Orff Music Teacher. Her commendations include completing a training course in teaching music to children and young adults at Pars Institute in Tehran, Iran, and receiving certificates of participation in the introduction of Orff-Schulwerk and an international summer course in elementary music and dance pedagogy at the University of Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.
Taar and Setar Instructor
Maryam has demonstrated her commitment to music education by establishing and leading a Moqam music ensemble and teaching music to children in daycares. Additionally, she has embraced modern methods by offering online music instruction for Tar and Setar and tutoring songs for female senior singers.
